Liner Notes
To say that this amazing young singer-songwriter is talented beyond his years is to state the obvious. Dennen, a Northern California native, has a promising career in music ahead. His songs have already caught the ear of KCRW deejay Chris Douridas who started spinning "Desert Sunrise" last year. This led to airplay on other KCRW shows, as well as airplay on WXPN and World Café. After iTunes put Dennen's CD online, it shot to #1 on their folk charts. In addition to being an incredibly talented musician, Dennen also paints. The cover of his debut album features his artwork and he has shown and sold his paintings in various galleries. Dennen is an artist who hopes to eventually be able to make a difference in a social activist sense as well through his involvement in the Mosaic Project (www.mosaicproject.org), of which he was one of the founders. The project draws California fifth graders from three different schools in three different income areas together in a forum for peace education. Dennen serves as a music program director with the Mosaic Project, for which he has developed a music curriculum. A disc of the songs (which Dennen co-wrote and performed on) from the program has brought additional attention and needed money to the non-profit program.

Dennen performed at this year's Bonnaroo Festival in June. He also played a successful showcase at the recent AAA Summit in Boulder. See what the fuss is all about. Besides "Desert Sunrise," check out the opening track, "Blessed," "Nothing Lasts Forever" and the more up-tempo "All We Have" from this impressive debut.

What Is Radio Saying?
"He's the unsigned artist of the year. Rarely does music come along so unadorned, so pure in spirit, and so eloquently written. 'Desert Sunrise' generated more phone calls than anything I’ve played all year."
Chris Douridas, KCRW Santa Monica/Los Angeles
