NPR Job Openings CPB Jobline DEI Development/Management Positions OPENING: WNCW SPINDALE-ASHEVILLE, SENIOR PRODUCER/MORNING EDITION HOST (9/4/08) WNCW Spindale-Asheville/Charlotte NC/Greenville/Spartanburg SC, a service of Isothermal Community College in Spindale, NC seeks Senior Producer for WNCW FM to oversee creation, production and presentation of WNCW news and information, in-studio and remote live music productions, and local/regional special projects (news, music and spoken word). The Senior Producer will serve as WNCW's Morning Edition host.
QUALIFICATIONS: Required: Associate’s Degree plus two years experience in radio broadcast production/on-air performance. Experience operating broadcast audio console. Familiarity with basic FCC rules and regulations pertaining to on-air performance. Demonstrated computer skills (PC). Experience writing/editing scripts for broadcast production or news. Preferred: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of two years experience in public radio; minimum two years journalism experience (print, broadcast or online). Experience as NPR Morning Edition host; experience operating computer-based broadcast audio automation system. Experience as radio news/documentary reporter/interviewer/producer. In-studio and/or live recording and live hosting experience. Experience with Cool Edit, Cool Edit Pro or Adobe Audition or similar editing/production software.
SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with education and direct experience

The Current Program Director is the individual responsible for the overall vision, direction, and management of the radio station, 89.3 The Current, and related programming. The Current is a new radio format established in 2004 to serve the Twin Cities metropolitan region with repeat service in Rochester, MN.
