WZEW MOBILE TO BROADCAST FROM HANGOUT MUSIC FEST MAY 18-20
WZEW (92 ZEW) Mobile is the official radio station of the 2012 Hangout Music Festival 5/18-20 on the beach in Gulf Shores, Alabama, presenting Foo Fighters, the Black Keys, Flaming Lips, Paul Simon, and many more acts. WZEW will again be broadcasting live from backstage from their mobile studios during the entire festival well as streaming live on the web from 92 ZEW's website and on Hangout Radio.

KCMP/The Current (89.3) Minneapolis has sold out their "Rock The Garden" show June 16 on the outdoor stage at the Walker Art Center. The day features performances by The Hold Steady, Trampled by Turtles, Doomtree, Tune-Yards, and Howler. The concert sold more than 9,400 tickets after going on sale in just one hour, all to station members!

KTCZ/CITIES 97 MINNEAPOLIS PRESENTS ANNUAL "HOPE IN THE HEARTLAND" BENEFIT MAY 10: JAMES MORRISON, LISSIE
KTCZ (Cities 97) Minneapolis presents the return of Hope in the Heartland on Thursday, May 10th, 6:30pm-10pm at The Brick! Hope in the Heartland is a Music and Art experience benefiting One Heartland; a national nonprofit that provides camping and year-round support programs for children affected by HIV/AIDS, Type 2 Diabetes and homelessness. One Heartland welcomes children from across the country to their facility in Willow River, Minnesota for a week of love, acceptance and hope!
Evening Highlights include Silent music and art auction including VIP concert tickets, signed musical instruments, autographed and framed doodles, lyrics, CDs, lithographs and more from Cities 97 artists and bands (Norah Jones, Dave Matthews Band, Train, Mayer Hawthorne, Snow Patrol, OAR, Brandi Carlile and more) and original artwork by local artists and international Artist Eric Waugh who will be on site. The night features early evening on-site Studio C performances by James Morrison & Lissie with a full band performance from Rocket Club. General Admission Tickets are $24.97* (Includes music, silent auction, and cash bar.)


WFUV NEW YORK HONORS CHRIS ISAAK AT "SPRING GALA" FUNDRAISER MAY 10
WFUV (90.7) Bronx-New York will honor a trio of music, news and sports broadcasting legends and a philanthropic community leader on Thursday night, May 10, at WFUV Radio's Fifth Annual Spring Gala 2012 at Gotham Hall (1356 Broadway) in New York City. Chris Isaak will be feted as WFUV's "Artist of the Year" and receive the WFUV Sound & Vision Award; Christiane Amanpour, renowned global affairs anchor for ABC News, will receive the Charles Osgood Lifetime Achievement Award in Broadcast Journalism; Emmy Award-winning broadcaster, Al Michaels, NBC Sports' "Voice of Sunday Night Football," will receive the Vin Scully Lifetime Achievement Award in Sports Broadcasting; and City Winery founder Michael Dorf will be honored with the inaugural WFUV Community Service Award. The benefit in support of New York's "Rock and Roots" public radio station will be held at Gotham Hall in New York City. An anticipated audience of more than 400 donors will be treated to a performance by Chris Isaak, accompanied by his full band.

WXPN 2012 XPoNENTIAL MUSIC FESTIVAL JULY 20-22 ON CAMDEN WATERFRONT: WILCO, THE AVETT BROTHERS, DR. DOG
WXPN (88.5) Philadelphia presents the XPoNential Music Festival presented by Subaru and returning to Camden County’s Wiggins Park located on the Camden Waterfront, Friday, July 20th-Sunday, July 22nd. WXPN has partnered with Live Nation to extend the festival with a Saturday night performance by Wilco, The Avett Brothers, and Dr. Dog at the Susquehanna Bank Center. This year’s 3-Day Pass to the XPoNential Music Festival will include lawn seat admission to the Susquehanna Bank Center show on July 21. Tickets for the XPoNential Music Festival will go on sale on May 1 when the full festival lineup is announced.
"Our creative partnership with Susquehanna Bank Center will allow us to keep festival ticket prices affordable and ultimately open up more opportunities for our listeners to hear great live music," said WXPN GM Roger LaMay. The XPoNential Music Festival presented by Subaru, now in its eighth year at Wiggins Park, is produced in partnership with the Camden County Board of Freeholders and features a lineup of established and up-and-coming artists. The venue was selected by WXPN for its spectacular waterfront views, natural amphitheatre for great sound, easy access to public transportation, lush open green spaces and an array of local attractions, such as Adventure Aquarium and the Camden Children's Garden, which serves as the Kids Corner Area.
